Associate Software Project Manager

Geneoscopy is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and motivated Associate Software Project Manager to support our software development team in planning, tracking, documentation, and execution. This role works closely with product owners, developers, QA, scientists, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met on time, within scope, and in compliance with industry standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and maintain Jira ticketing boards, tasks, and workflows across multiple software development projects.
  • Facilitate and support Agile rituals such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and team stand-ups alongside the engineering leads.
  • Track and report progress against development milestones and release schedules.
  • Identify and escalate blockers, delays, or risks to ensure timely delivery.
  • Assist in managing identified risks, dependencies, and action items to keep projects on track.
  • Draft and maintain high-quality documentation, including but not limited to, software change forms, requirement specifications, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate cross-functional team communication and alignment across Quality Assurance, Software Quality Assurance, Regulatory & Compliance, and Software Engineering to ensure alignment.
  • Monitor release timelines, ensure checklist completion, and support go/no-go decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with software validation, documentation, and quality standards (e.g., FDA, CLIA, HIPAA as applicable).
  • Support the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or similar associate support roles in biotech, healthcare, diagnostics, or software environment.
  • Possess proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, etc.) for tasks and project tracking.
  • Exude strong communication and collaboration skills, with deadline-driven time management abilities.
  • Display excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Exemplify familiarity and knowledge of Agile methodologies or software development life cycles (SDLC).
  • Experience working in regulated industries (medical devices, biotech, pharma, etc.)
  • Exemplify the ability to multitask and thrive in an agile, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Possess proficient verbal and written communication skills, while willing to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization to achieve the desired results.
  • Possess high ethics and conduct business in the most professional manner.

  • Preferred Additional Experience:
    • Jira administration or configuration experience.
    • Experience writing or managing technical documentation.
    • Familiarity with FDA/ISO regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 11)
    • Exposure to risk assessments or quality management systems (QMS).
    • Knowledge of clinical systems, LIMS, or bioinformatics tools.

SCHEDULE
This is a salaried position, requiring at least 40 hours per week. There may be projects that require activities beyond the standard hours.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base salary range: $80,000-100,000 annually, determined based on the candidate's experience, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Bonus: discretionary annual bonus based on a percentage of the employee's base salary
