Controller
The Controller oversees the Company's accounting operations, including financial reporting, audits, general ledger maintenance, regulatory compliance, internal controls, planning, budgeting, and ERP system maintenance. This leadership role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information and supports strategic decision-making through insightful analysis and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
- Oversee general ledger activities and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Manage audits, liaise with external auditors, and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and financial regulations.
- Collaborate with finance leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of accounting systems and software.
- Analyze financial data and present findings to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain the Company's ERP system and lead improvements where necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial alignment with organizational goals.
- Communicate effectively with department heads to support business initiatives, ensure accurate expense tracking, and provide guidance on financial impacts.
- Support cross-departmental projects by providing financial insights and accounting expertise to help drive company-wide initiatives.
- Promote a culture of transparency and accountability by ensuring consistent financial communication across teams.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations for the accounting team.
- Ensure the Company's financial activities and disclosures adhere to relevant regulatory and legal standards, including the Company's various local, state, and federal tax filings.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience in public accounting or a complex corporate environment.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience in ERP system (and associated module) deployment and upgrades.

SCHEDULE
This is a salaried position, requiring at least 40 hours per week. There may be projects that require activities beyond the standard hours.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Base salary range: $150,000-200,000/annually determined based on the candidate's experience, knowledge, and abilities.
- Bonus: discretionary annual bonus based on a percentage of the employee's base salary
